General Care
- Air our your sheets between use
- Spot clean stains as soon as possible for the best chance of removal
- Pull back your doona to air before making your bed in the morning
- Hanging your pyjama to air between use.
- As we don't treat our bamboo with any harmful chemicals, it maybe naturally experience slight pilling during the initial use as a response to friction. However this will reduced during the washing and drying process. It can be removed with a depiller and should not continue to accur beyond the initial use. Note: Pilling is not considered a fault.
These small adjustment will reduce the need for excessive washing.
100% Bamboo
- Machine wash inside out on a cold, gentle cycle (max 20°C, 800rpm).
- Wash with like colours to avoid colour transfer.
- Use a small amount of mild, eco-friendly detergent.
- Avoid: fabric softeners, bleach, Napisan, brighteners, or essential oils.
- Line dry in the shade — avoid direct sunlight or hot days.
- Do not tumble dry, wring, or rub the fabric.
- Keep away from high heat, even during line drying.
- Stretch lightly after washing to help natural fibres return to shape and reduce creasing. Use a steamer if needed — it helps relax the fabric and restore fit if there's any shrinkage.
- Iron only on a cool setting, reverse side — but steaming is preferred. Most creases will drop naturally with body warmth, so ironing is usually not necessary.
100% Cotton
- Wash your cotton bedding once a week to prevent oil and sweat build-up and keep it soft and fresh.
- Machine wash inside out on a cold or low heat gentle cycle (max 30°C, 800rpm).
- Wash with like colours to avoid colour transfer.
- Use a small amount of mild, eco-friendly detergent.
- Avoid: fabric softeners, bleach, Napisan, tea tree oil, or brightening agents.
- Don’t overload the washing machine — too much friction can damage cotton.
- Do not wash with rough fabrics like denim or pieces with zippers or buttons.
- Line dry in the shade — avoid direct sunlight or hot weather, which can fade or shrink the fabric.
- Remove from the machine as soon as the cycle ends.
- Do not tumble dry, wring, or rub your SUKU cotton.
- Lightly stretch natural fibres after washing and shake out before hanging to help remove creases.
- Use a warm iron on the reverse side or steam when needed.
